Toddler & Pre-K Creative Experiences
Our youngest artists are exploring their world and we feel so privileged to be part of that experience! Our classes and playgroups are designed to help children develop gross and fine motor skills, strengthen their hands for handwriting, practice cutting with scissors, build sensory awareness, enhance their socialization skills and encourage artistic exploration and self-expression.
We always include open play time for this age group, so kids are engaged and become comfortable with each other, and with us!
Our art playgroup is a relaxed 90-minute experience where children can ease into the space, explore at their own pace, and get comfortable through a mix of art, play, and connection.
Each session begins with 30 minutes of open play time, followed by several art invitations (painting, collage, etc.), sensory play, and time for open-ended exploration. We end our time together by sharing a story and snack.
There’s no pressure to “complete” anything—some children dive right in, others take their time. Both are exactly what we expect!
Art Playgroup
Recommended for ages 18 months-4 years
Tuesdays, 9:30-11am
Storybook Art
Recommended for ages 3-6
Wednesdays, 1-2pm
In Storybook Art, each week begins with reading a beautifully illustrated picture book that sparks our imaginations. We then create playful projects inspired by the story. Children might paint, draw, collage, print, experiment with mixed media or build.
Along the way, they'll explore real art materials, build confidence, strengthen fine motor skills, and discover that there's no right or wrong way to create. Most parents/caregivers stay during the class.
