Bright Day Studio offers process-based summer art camps for children that are joyful, engaging, and thoughtfully structured. Our camps give kids the freedom to explore, imagine, and create — all while feeling comfortable, confident, and excited to return each day.

Camps are playful and imaginative — never rushed, competitive, or pressure-filled.

What to Expect at Camp

Each camp morning follows a familiar, well-paced rhythm that helps children settle in and enjoy the day.

A typical camp morning looks like this:

  • 9:30–9:45 – Warm-up art activities

  • 9:45–10:30 – Art Project #1

  • 10:30–10:50 – Snack & Story

  • 10:50–11:15 – Open Play

  • 11:15–11:45 – Art Project #2

  • 11:45–12:10 – Lunch

  • 12:10–12:30 – Free-choice art stations

Projects throughout the week may include painting, collage, building, printmaking, clay, mixed media, and more — with plenty of room for creativity and individual expression.

Due to limited space, materials, and staffing needs, sibling discounts do not apply to camps.

Your Questions, Answered

  • We offer camps for children ages 4–6 (campers must be potty-trained) and 7–10, depending on the week.

  • If a camp week is sold out, you’re welcome to join our waitlist! Simply email Lori@BrightDayStudioArt.com. If a spot opens up, we’ll reach out.

    Since openings are usually limited, we may offer spots across families first so more kids have a chance to attend. Joining the waitlist doesn’t guarantee a spot, but we’ll contact you as soon as something becomes available.

  • Due to limited space, materials, and staffing needs, sibling discounts do NOT apply to camps.

  • We understand that summer plans can shift, and we do our best to be flexible. Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the start of camp are eligible for a refund. However, due to the advance planning involved for camp — including additional staffing and purchasing of materials — we are not always able to process refunds immediately.

    We work to fill any canceled spots and are happy to issue refunds as space is filled. We are also glad to help transfer your registration to another week (if space allows) or to another family.

  • Not at all! Camps are designed for all skill levels and focus on exploration and creativity.

  • Kids should wear comfortable clothes and socks that are ready for creative fun, and bring:

    • Labeled water bottle

    • Snack and lunch (nut-free)

  • Drop-Off: 9:25–9:30am
    Pick-Up: 12:30pm

    Pick-ups after 12:45pm will incur a $15 late fee.
