A Creative Space Where Children Grow - Not Just Make Art
Welcome to Bright Day Studio — a children’s art studio in Paoli, PA, welcoming kids ages 18 months–10 years through playgroups, ongoing weekly classes, camps, special events, and birthday celebrations.
Here, kids get to explore art in a way that feels relaxed, joyful, and pressure-free. There’s no “right way” to do things — just a safe space, warm guidance, and encouragement to create in their own way.
Each class may feature different projects, but what stays the same is the feeling: familiar routines, supportive teachers, and an environment where kids can settle in, try new things, and enjoy the process.
Over time, that comfort helps kids focus longer, take creative risks, and feel more confident — both in and out of the studio.
Ways To Create With Us
-
A gentle, welcoming way for little ones and their adults to explore, make, and connect together. Each playgroup includes time to warm up with open play, explore art & sensory stations, and wind down with a story and snack.
-
Our weekly classes are the heart of Bright Day. Kids come back each week to explore new materials and projects, while returning to familiar routines, friendly faces, and a space where they feel comfortable trying new things.
-
Our creative camps are offered during school breaks and throughout the summer. Camp gives kids more time to settle in, dive deeper into materials, and enjoy longer stretches of creative play.
-
One-time workshops and family events tied to seasons, holidays, and fun themes. These are playful, memorable experiences that feel a little extra special.
-
Creative birthday parties that are relaxed, joyful, and thoughtfully led — allowing kids to create, explore, and celebrate together without the stress of planning at home.
We offer a few different ways to create. Choose what fits your child and schedule best!
How It Works
Easy, welcoming, and flexible
Our weekly classes and playgroups are easy to jump into — no sessions, memberships, or long-term commitments required.

Process Art
At Bright Day Studio, we love process art — the kind of art that’s all about the experience, not just the finished product. We believe that when kids are free to explore materials, follow their curiosity, and make their own creative choices, they gain so much more than just art skills.
That said, we don’t do only process art. Many of our projects weave in techniques, tools, and themes that help build artistic skills — but always in a way that leaves room for personal expression and playful discovery.
We offer a thoughtful balance of structure and freedom so kids can:
Try new materials without pressure
Develop confidence in their ideas
Make art that’s meaningful to them
FAQs
-
Process art focuses on the act of creating rather than following steps to produce identical pieces. It encourages exploration, creative expression, risk-taking, problem-solving, following instincts and the pursuit of flow. Each piece of artwork may be vastly different.
-
Developmentally appropriate techniques, art vocabulary and some art history will be woven into our sessions. If you are looking for advanced art instruction, I highly recommend the Wayne Art Center or The Mainline Art Center.
-
Yes, of course! Sensory play is fun for all ages, but is especially important for younger children, as it allows them to explore & learn about their world, build hand strength and coordination for handwriting and fosters creative exploration.
-
Due to the difficulty of coordinating makeup classes, we are unable to provide make-up sessions or refunds for missed classes. We appreciate your commitment to attending classes as scheduled to ensure the best experience for everyone.
