Creative art experiences for ages 3–5
Three, four and five-year-olds are discovering just how much they can do—and making art gives them so many opportunities to find out!
At this age, children are gaining more control over their hands and becoming increasingly independent. They’re learning to make more intentional marks, use scissors, pull open a glue stick, manipulate clay, hold a paintbrush with greater control, and turn all sorts of interesting materials into something of their own.
And every new skill opens the door to another creative possibility.
At Bright Day, we give children lots of opportunities to paint, draw, cut, glue, sculpt, print, build and experiment. Along the way, they strengthen fine-motor skills, learn how to use new tools and materials, practice making their own choices, and gain confidence in what they’re able to do.
We’re there to guide, encourage and lend a hand when it’s needed—but there’s a special kind of pride that comes with being able to say, “I did it myself!”
Storybook Art
Recommended for ages 3-6
Wednesdays, 1-2pm
In Storybook Art, each week begins with reading a beautifully illustrated picture book that sparks our imaginations. We then create playful projects inspired by the story. Children might paint, draw, collage, print, experiment with mixed media or build.
Along the way, they'll explore real art materials, build confidence, strengthen fine motor skills, and discover that there's no right or wrong way to create. Most parents/caregivers stay during the class.
