Our youngest artists are busy exploring their world, and we feel so privileged to be part of it!

At this age, art is about so much more than making something to bring home. It’s squishing, scooping, scribbling, painting, building, experimenting—and discovering what happens next. Along the way, children are developing fine and gross motor skills, building sensory awareness, gaining confidence, practicing social skills, and discovering the joy of creative expression.

Our playgroup is a relaxed 90-minute experience designed especially for little ones and their grown-ups. Children have plenty of time to ease into the studio, explore at their own pace, and become comfortable with the space, with each other, and with us.

We begin each session with about 30 minutes of open play, followed by several art invitations such as painting, collage and drawing, along with sensory play and plenty of opportunities for open-ended exploration. We end our time together by sharing a snack and story.

There’s no pressure to “complete” anything here. Some children dive right in, while others prefer to watch for a while, wander between activities, or return to a favorite again and again. All of that is exactly what we expect!

Our goal is to give young children and their grown-ups a happy, welcoming place to explore, create and play.
